Great news folks!! Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, codenamed Xenial Xerus, final version is now available for download along with all its official flavours. All Ubuntu users are encouraged to install or upgrade their old Ubuntu version to 16.04 LTS.
This release includes images from not only the Ubuntu Desktop, Server, Cloud, and Core products, but also the Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Mythbuntu, Ubuntu GNOME, Ubuntu Kylin, Ubuntu MATE, Ubuntu Studio, and Xubuntu flavours.
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS ships with long-term supported kernel version 4.4.x version. Both the OS and Kernel are long-term supported versions. How cool, isn’t it?

Unfortunately, Edubuntu is not participated in the Xenial Xerus release.
Also, there is two new Ubuntu based Linux distributions, Ubuntu Budgie and UbuntuBSD, wants to take part in the Ubuntu official flavours. Hope they will make it in the next Ubuntu release.
Upgrade to Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
